Updates

Baby boy just started sitting up pretty well this week.  He'll be 5 months next week!  Time sure flies!  He's such a happy boy.  Yesterday afternoon he had an kidney ultrasound to check that all is well after the uti he had last May.  Initial report from the doctor says all looks good!  We are so thankful!

Look mom!  I can wiggle out of my rocking chair now!

Sweaty head / bad hair day due to excessive heat last week!  Pizza is yummy.

A checking out some book discards from our next door neighbor.

Timeline activity

I found this idea on pinterest a few months ago.  A timeline activity showing Christ as the center of history.  As an adult it gave me a neat perspective on just how much history there is!  Each of the little squares represents one hundred years!  We talked about that, and that A has only been alive for 5 years, mom for 30, and granddaddy turns 90 this month.

Nature Study: inchworm

A found a little inchworm outside last week.  It was pink so she decided it was a girl, and would name it grace.  She spent quite a bit of time studying that little bugger!

Road Trip! Pepin WI & Kellog MN

Dad & the girls re-read through Little House in the Big Woods in preparation for our trip to Pepin WI.  It was neat to see where this story from over 100 years ago actually happened and to see how life was so different back then, but in many ways the same!

A had a list of things to spot and check off.
